How to Use
Ensure the surface is free from existing finishes, including wax, oil or grease. Sand thoroughly to a smooth finish and remove the dust.
Shake well before use. If more than one tin of dye is required to complete the work mix the tins together to ensure a uniform colour. Apply one liberal coat of Spirit Wood Dye with a brush or cloth, working with the grain wherever possible. Allow the stain to penetrate, then remove the excess with a clean cotton cloth. For a stronger colour, apply a second coat after four hours. When dry, Spirit Wood Dye may be finished with a water-based varnish, wax, oil or French polish.
